China unveiled a four-tiered plan to restrict visitors to the Great Wall of China.
The General Plan for the Great Wall limits the number of visitors to the Badaling Section and the Ming Mausoleums Scenic Area to 53,000 per day, Shanghai Daily reported Wednesday.
The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Landscape and Forestry plans to forbid visitors to unrenovated areas at its strictest level, Level 1, and imposes no restrictions at its most lenient, Level 4.
The plan recommends relocating the general entrance to the main visitor sections and moving parking areas as well.
